Get More Usable Storage for your Jeep - The SideStasher
www.sidestasher.com
I created the SideStasher because I was constantly looking for places to store items in my Jeep that would keep them secure but easy to access. The SideStasher is designed by me and made in the USA specifically in Denver Colorado.
The bags are made from 1000d high quality fabric using YKK zippers and strong molle providing years of quality use. The bags utilize a custom made ,also in Colorado, aluminum plate that is inserted inside the bags and mounts to the front two OEM bolt mount points for the hard top. This provides a rigid shelf allowing you to place heavy items like tools or bulky items like the Geyser water system.
This is the perfect addition to any JKU or JLU jeep and makes the perfect present for anyone who has one. Whether you are exploring the outdoors or just needing a place to store diapers you will enjoy this piece of kit for your jeep.

    I’d put my clothes for the next day in a soft vinyl plush back pack & use the back pack as a pillow, laying on the flat back side of it! Then you got a place for your clothes that serves as a pillow & all in one, a space saver! But that’s just me!! Knowing a camper of any gets tight, & I just think forward of saving space!!

    Are you still liking this stove over all others? Apparently the combination of using the Polaris pump with a Whisperlite universal is actually the best stove of all. Lighter than the Polaris (whisper rather than a blow torch noise), quieter than the Polaris, you get the valve on the pump and on the MSR fuel hose too so you can simmer with liquid, the Polaris pump is the most reliable and durable, the MSR fuel hose has a built in cleaning rod so you can clean out the hose if you need to use unleaded for any length of time (need a new Optimus fuel hose if it clogs up with dirty fuel residue), slightly wider bloom for more dispersed cooking with pans etc…quite a combination. Only issue with the Whisperlite is the pot supports are too wide for some smaller mug size pots

    The TFT and navigation is truly a joke by BMW. Will I sell my bike? Of course not but I don’t understand why BMW with the TFT and Nav can’t be more user friendly. It really is trash. Now try pairing a headset. It’s all just so clunky that this man had to make a 17 min video on how to do it. It all should just work. It’s 2024 how in the hell can technology be so clunky? It truly blows my mind. Why do I even need a separate nav when BMW has a TFT? Seems crazy and no I’m not the first to say this. BMW needs to give up and just add Apple car play or android whichever. They can’t seem to get their own stuff to work properly so just give up. Give us Apple car play or droid and be done. It would make everyone’s lives soooooooo much easier!

    Just some advice from an old truck driver that lives in the area you just went through on this video. The gas signs and lights are usually for H2S or Hydrogen Sulfide gas. Nasty, deadly stuff. Most of the oilfield trucks here carry a SCBA just in case. You also mentioned Propane in the video. From the sound of your videos, I think you're driving a diesel. Propane gathers in the low areas and if there is a leak. and if the diesel sucks it in, it will run away. You can't shut it off, you can't stop it unless you close off the intake. Had it happen in the semi down around Muddy Gap WY one time. Not fun! I just found your channel and it looks great!! Looking forward to more!

      unfortunately they utilize the two oem mount bolts that the soft top utilizes to hold the soft top plastics in place. you can still use the bags but they will swing like the cheap versions and you can't benefit from the hard aluminum plate that provides so much stability.

      @@thebush6077 if someone who has a soft top take a picture of the location where the bolt holes are located with the soft top installed we may be able to determine a way to do both. i know on the JKU (i had one) used the OEM holes as a way for the plastic structure to hold itself in place not with bolts but with dowels that protruded from the plastic pieces that surrounded the doors and framed up the soft top attachments. So they weren't "bolted in to the bolt holes but they were using the holes for support. with those holes being used and not bolted down there isn't a good way for the plate to be secured without interfering with the soft top mechanism. if you are seeing something different on the JLU then we need to talk becasue i haven't verified it being different.

      @@aMAYSingLife Had to go out and take a look and I see what you're saying now. Hadn't noticed it was like that (came from the factory with the top already installed.) Dunno if a future idea could maybe do something with any of the unused holes that the hard top would have normally bolted into, though that might not be feasible with how they're positioned 😔

    Sloan's at Alcova has always been our stop for 20+ years with the kids growing up. They sell Ice Cream cones too. On the North Platte river, Gray's Reef not far behind Sloan's Great fishing hole and stretch of the river. Great to see someone explore the an area you've spent a lot of time at.

    Are you going to make a rear storage solution something like the JWWY bags? I recently tried to go to the Hatchet Overland website and it isn't and the phone number is disconnected. Any insight?

    • @aMAYSingLife
      @aMAYSingLife 4 місяці тому

      unfortunately Hatchet Overland is not in business. My hope is a bigger company will purchase the rights to make their camper. Its still a great product 2 years later for me.. Best option out there in my opinion. I actually designed the bag to use the molle on the back to attach to a second bag that will take up the remainder rear area with a second plate using the oem bolt in the back and attach to the first bag using the molle. Its not done yet but that is my plan on how to utilize that space. I'd like somewhere to mount my genesis grill and things like that.

      I considered all the above but went with the Alucab Canopy Camper and after 3 years and 47,000 mile and over 100 nights of sleeping in it I’m 110% satisfied with it and would recommend it to anyone

    If only my navigator 6 worked and if only Garmin would send me a working unit. I bought my nav 6 unit last year with a new bike… the touch screen recently quit working. I contacted my bmw dealer and they referred me to Garmin, Garmin told me they are making a “new” unit and I’m just supposed to wait until the new unit comes out. No time frame on the new unit, just wait. So I have a non working nav 6 unit, still under warranty that the warranty isn’t being honored on.

    • @aMAYSingLife
      @aMAYSingLife 5 місяців тому

      That nav 6 has been a total debacle. I went through 3 myself. Ridiculous. I give it 3-5 years before Starlink to cell makes Inreach obsolete and cell phones ultimately will wipe out the rest of the need for dedicated mapping devices. Just a matter of time now. Hard to comprehend how Garmin could have a long term strategy at this point to remain relevant
